You know that feeling when you update something in one place… and then realise you have to go and update it in 17 other places too?

Your sales page. Your course. Your emails. Your resource library. Your blog posts. All sitting there, quietly out of date, waiting for you to notice.

That was me before I found Shareables.ai. Now I update one spreadsheet and everything just… fixes itself.

In this Shareables review I’m going to walk you through exactly what I use it for, how it compares to alternatives, what it costs, and whether it’s worth adding to your tech stack.

Shareables Review – What Even Is Shareables?

Shareables is a no-code tool that connects your spreadsheet tool (Airtable, Google Sheets, Notion etc) to embeddable widgets on your website – or anywhere else you want to display dynamic, auto-updating content (including inside emails, which I’ll get to in a minute).

You connect your data source, pick a widget type, customise the design, and then drop the embed code wherever you need it.

When you update the spreadsheet, the widget updates automatically. No logging into your website. No editing your course platform. No touching your email template.

It was built by one guy called Ryan, and honestly the pace at which he ships new features is impressive. More on that later.

What Can You Actually Use Shareables For?

I’ve got a whole separate post on 7 fun ways to use Shareables in your online business if you want the full list, but for this Shareables review, here are the use cases I personally rely on most – including a couple of newer ones I’m particularly excited about.

Examples of the types of widgets you can create with Shareables

Auto-Updating Testimonials on Sales Pages

This might be th best time saver! I’ve got Shareables pulling testimonials from my Airtable base straight onto my sales pages. I have a checkbox column in Airtable – when I tick it, that testimonial goes live. When I untick it, it disappears.

So I can curate exactly which testimonials show up without touching my sales page at all. And as new ones come in, I just tick the box. Done.

You could even set it up so testimonials appear the moment they’re submitted if you wanted to go full automation mode – though I like the control of approving them first as I like to use the most impactful results driven testimonials on my sales pages!

A Resource Library Inside Your Courses

Before Shareables, if I recommended a tool inside a course and the link changed (or the tool got discontinued), I’d have to go into every single lesson and update it. Nightmare.

Now I have a recommended resources widget embedded in my courses. Everything lives in one Airtable base. Update it there, it updates everywhere – every course, every lesson it’s embedded in.

Same goes for my own offers. If I launch something new and want to feature it inside a course, I just add it to the spreadsheet.

Email Widgets – The Strategy Spotlight Footer

This is a newer feature and I am very excited about it. I have a ‘Strategy Spotlight’ footer in my weekly emails where I share things like a free resource, a recent blog post, what I’m currently working on, and any live offers.

Right now I manually edit that snippet every week. It’s fine, but it’s one of those small tasks that adds up. Amd I have to admit, often I forget to update it.

My plan is to move this into Shareables so I can set dates for each piece of content and have it automatically cycle through without me having to touch the email template at all.

Set it up once. It runs itself. And you know I love to automate stuff!

The Link Safety Net in Emails

Here’s a practical use case I haven’t tried yet (because email widgets only launched last week) but I think it could be a game changer.

When I share a link inside an email, if I’ve mistyped it – it’s gone. It’s in thousands of inboxes and there’s nothing I can do about it. This has happened too many times to admit!

But if that link is being pulled from Shareables, I can just fix it in the spreadsheet and every email using that widget will immediately show the correct link. It’s not something you’d think about until you need it, and then you really need it.

Calendar Widgets for Events and Promotions

The calendar widget (also new) could be brilliant for anyone running summits, live workshops, or event series. You manage all the dates from one place and the widget stays up to date automatically.

I’m also thinking about using it for advent calendar style promotions – where each day’s offer or resource reveals on the right date. Fun way to add some interactivity without any complicated tech setup.

Student Showcases – Keep Them Live Forever

When I used Softr I only had 3 widgets on my plan (at $49 a month, which still makes me flinch). I wanted to create student showcase pages that satyed up long after my live rounds – displaying the work and results my students had achieved. But I kept having to pull old ones down to stay within my widget limit.

Now with Shareables I have way more widgets included and I can leave them all up permanently. I plan to build these out properly and keep them as evergreen social proof. Much better experience for my students too.

Coming Soon – Comment Box Widgets in Emails

Ryan is bringing out comment box widgets including for email later in May and I have fun plans for this. My idea is to use it to ask frequent community questions directly inside my emails – which will help with engagement, give me proper customer research and potentially give me stats and insights I can share back in future posts and emails.

Watch this space.

How Easy Is Shareables.ai to Use?

There is a slight learning curve – I won’t pretend otherwise. It’s a proper tool and the first time you go in, there are settings to figure out.

But it’s genuinely not that bad. I got my first Shareables widget set up in about 20 minutes without watching a single tutorial. I just poked around until it made sense.

If you’ve ever tried to do this kind of thing with Softr or other similar tools, Shareables is noticeably easier. Less complex, fewer steps to get to a working result.

And if you do get stuck, Ryan’s support is fast. I once suggested a feature and it was implemented within 30 minutes. He clearly cares a lot about the product.

Shareables vs Softr vs SpreadSimple – How Do They Compare?

These three come up a lot together so let’s talk about them properly.

Shareables is what I use now. Cheaper, easier to use, and the widget count per plan is much better than comparable Softr plans. Works with Airtable, Google Sheets, Notion and a few other productivity tools. The main focus is embeddable widgets and email content – not building full standalone websites.

Softr is more powerful in one specific way – it can build complete websites and client portals, not just embedded widgets. If you need something like a member area or a full no-code web app, Softr is still the better tool for that. It does work with Airtable. But it’s more expensive – I was paying $49 a month and only getting 3 widgets on that plan!

SpreadSimple is another option worth knowing about, particularly if you work primarily in Google Sheets. At the time of writing this article, Airtable isn’t supported by SpreadSimple – which was the main reason I ruled it out, since Airtable is very much the centre of how I run my business. But if you’re a Google Sheets person and you want something to turn your sheet into a website or widget, it’s worth checking out. (Note: features and integrations change, so check their current offering before deciding.)

The short version: if you just want to embed dynamic, auto-updating content on your site, in your courses, or in your emails – Shareables is the easiest and most affordable option of the three. If you need a full no-code website builder, Softr still has an edge.

Shareables Pricing – What Does It Cost?

Here’s the current pricing on annual billing (which gives you 33% off):

PlanAnnual PriceWidgets
Free$0/month1 widget
Basic$4/month3 widgets
Pro$8/month9 widgets
Premium$13/month15 widgets
Ultimate$27/monthUnlimited widgets

There’s a free plan you can use indefinitely to test things out with 1 widget. All paid plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Think about how many widgets you actually want to use before defaulting to a lower plan. The more you use Shareables, the more you’ll find yourself wanting to use it for everything – testimonials, resources, offers, email footers, student showcases, and more. If you go in at the Basic plan and hit the limit quickly, you’ll be upgrading anyway.

Even the Pro plan at $8/month gives you 9 widgets, which is much more generous than what I was getting with Softr at $49/month. And the Ultimate plan at $27/month gives you unlimited widgets, which is what I’d go for if you want to experiment freely without worrying about running out.

Review of Shareables Pros…

  • Really easy to get started. First widget in around 20 minutes, no tutorials needed.
  • Brilliant customer support. Ryan is fast, helpful, and genuinely responsive to suggestions.
  • New features constantly being added. Email widgets are a recent addition. Comment box widgets are coming. The roadmap is active.
  • Much more generous widget limits than competitors – even on lower paid plans you get more than what Softr was giving me at $49/month.
  • Works with Airtable, Google Sheets & Notion – you’re not locked into one data source.
  • Real HTML output that can rank in Google – not just iframes that search engines ignore.
  • Embeds anywhere – websites, courses, emails. One widget, multiple placements.
  • Free plan available with no time limit, so you can try before you commit.
  • 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans.
  • Saves a lot of time on manual updates – you change one thing in a spreadsheet and it’s live everywhere.

Review of Shareable’s Cons…

  • Small learning curve on first use. It’s not difficult, but you will need 20-30 minutes to get your bearings. Worth it, but worth knowing.
  • Not a full website builder. If you need to build a complete standalone site or client portal, Softr is still the better option for that specific use case.
  • Widget limits on lower plans – though to put this in context, even the Basic plan at $4/month gives you 3 widgets, which is the same as I was getting on Softr’s $49/month plan. So it’s not really a con compared to the alternatives – just something to factor in when choosing your plan.

Frequently Asked Questions about Shareables

How to Get Started with Shareables

Start on the free plan – it’s genuinely free with no time limit. Connect your Airtable base or Google Sheet, pick a widget type, and give yourself 20-30 minutes to build your first one.

If testimonials feel like the easiest starting point, start there. Get that working on one of your sales pages and you’ll immediately see why this tool is so satisfying to use.

Once you’ve got the hang of it, you’ll start seeing opportunities everywhere. That’s when it’s worth upgrading to a plan with more widgets so you’re not having to constantly choose what to use them on.
